WORKSHOPS

MPQ offers members several choices for workshops throughout the year. Pre-registration and pre-payment is required for all except the mini-demos.

Major Workshops – usually held once per year. These are one-day or two-day workshops conducted by a well-known instructor. Fees are determined by the cost of the facility and the instructor.

Monthly Workshops – about 5 or 6 per year held on Saturdays from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. Locations may vary so please check your class instructions. Bring your own lunch and beverage. Cost of the workshop is $30 for members and $45 for non-members (priority given to MPQ members) plus any kit fee/pattern fee that the instructor might have. Pre-registration and payment is required and is non-refundable except under special circumstances. Contact the Committee Chair(s) for registration.

Mini Workshops - Sometimes held on Saturday afternoons after the MPQ meetings. Approximately 3 hours in length. Cost of the workshop is $15.00 and pre-registration is required.

Mini-demos - Usually held after the March meeting for one hour. These consist of 5 or 6 stations each demonstrating a particular technique.  Members are divided into groups to rotate through each of these stations for 10 minutes per station.  No fee.

Please let us know if there are any courses or demos you would like to see or if you are interested in teaching (honorariums provided).

When classes are full, we keep a waiting list as sometimes an opening becomes available and we offer it to the first person on the waiting list. If we have enough people we would consider offering the workshop again at another time so please contact us if you are interested.
