Workshop Information

MPQ offers members several choices for workshops throughout the year. Pre-registration and pre-payment is required for all except the mini-demos.

Major Workshops – usually held once per year. These are one-day or two-day workshops conducted by a well-known instructor. Fees are determined by the cost of the facility and the instructor.

Monthly Workshops – about 5 or 6 per year held on Saturdays from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm currently at the Good Neighbours’ Seniors Centre – 755 Henderson Hwy (Henderson at Kimberly beside the CIBC). Entrance and parking are at rear. Bring your own lunch and beverage if you wish. Cost of the workshop is $25 for members and $30 for non-members (priority given to MPQ members) plus any kit fee that the instructor might have. Payment for workshops is required upon registration and is non-refundable. Contact the Committee Chair(s) for registration.

Mini Workshops - Sometimes held on Saturday afternoons after the MPQ meetings. Approximately 3 hours in length. Cost of the workshop is $15.

Mini-demos - Usually held after the March meeting for one hour. These consist of 5 or 6 stations each demonstration a particular technique.  Members are divided into troups to rotate through each of these stations for 10 minutes per station.  No fee.

Please let us know if there are any courses or demos you would like to see or if there is anyone that would like to teach (honorariums provided). Thanks to everyone for all their suggestions and help for the Winter/Spring sessions
